Motorola is currently developing its upcoming flagship phone, the Edge 50 Pro, and a series of leaked images have surfaced today along with some information. Let’s take a closer look.

Similar to previous years, anticipate this phone to be released under three different names in various markets – it is likely to be named Motorola X50 Ultra in China and Motorola Edge+ (2024) in the US, while it will go by the name Motorola Edge 50 Pro everywhere else.

Black Motorola Edge 50 Pro

This device will be available in purple, black, and a silver/white/stone variant. The purple and black models may feature faux leather backs. The triple rear camera setup of the Edge 50 Pro consists of a 50 MP f/1.4 main sensor, a 13mm ultrawide lens, and a 73mm telephoto lens likely marketed as 3x optical zoom.

Purple Motorola Edge 50 Pro

The Edge 50 Pro will retain a curved-edge display, measuring 6.7 inches with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. It is rumored that the phone will come with a 4,500 mAh battery supporting 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Interestingly, the leaked images indicate the date of April 3, which could potentially be the official announcement date. The X50 Ultra might be the first of the three variants to be unveiled since Motorola has begun teasing it in China.
