October 2023 saw the release of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro by Google, and now the company is focusing on the Pixel 9 lineup.
Initial CAD-based renders indicate that the Pixel 9 Pro will have a smaller screen, flat panels and sides, and a camera bump that no longer stretches from end to end.
Leaked information has revealed that the screen will be a 6.5” panel, smaller than the 6.7” OLED on the previous model. However, the overall size of the body will be approximately the same, meaning the bezels will be slightly thicker.
Google has frequently used a wide camera island on its previous three generations of Pixel flagships. The cameras are once again depicted horizontally within an oval island. While the device will be 8.5 mm thin at its base, the bump will add almost 50%, resulting in a camera setup that is 12 mm in thickness.
Google has historically used an aluminum frame, but it is anticipated that the company will embrace the trend of titanium alloy, which Apple introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro series and Samsung has adopted in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
