Honda HR-V has recently undergone a refresh with new trim options, vibrant colors, and slight improvements in performance after significant enhancements in safety and sportiness. The first generation of Honda HR-V was introduced in 1998, followed by the second generation in 2022 under the name Vezel in Japan. This year, the third generation has been released with a focus on ADAS and spaciousness.

Exterior & Interior Updates

In 2024, Honda has introduced four trim levels – Sports Style, Urban Style, Casual Style, and Active Style. Keeping up with current design trends, the new sub-compact crossover showcases a boxy front grille with subtle changes to the front bumpers. Minor adjustments have been made to the front spoiler, side and rear skirts, side mirrors, and visors to enhance the sporty appeal. The Sports-Style HR-V comes with 18-inch alloy wheels featuring a multi-spoke design and two-tone styling.

The interior maintains its classic style with slight updates to the center console and storage space, along with new interior combinations introduced in the 2024 model.

Enhanced Honda Sensing Features

The 2024 HR-V includes three additional Honda Sensing features – traffic jam assist, adaptive driving beam, and sudden acceleration suppression function. Notable safety features also encompass a blind spot monitoring system, collision mitigation braking, lane-keep assist, road departure prevention, parking sensors, and more.

Under the Hood

Powertrain options remain consistent, with the base variant housing a 1.5L i-VTEC engine generating 117hp and 142Nm of torque paired with a CVT. The alternative is the 1.5L e:HEV hybrid producing 129hp and 253Nm of torque. Honda asserts enhancements in throttle response, hybrid technology, and performance, awaiting physical evaluation.

While this facelift has been introduced in Japan, we anticipate its arrival in the Pakistani market soon.
