Redmi has recently unveiled the inaugural phone in its fresh Turbo series with the Redmi Turbo 3. Positioned between the Redmi K and Note series, the Turbo lineup focuses on performance. The device is one of the first to debut with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Qualcomm’s latest SoC targeted at flagship-killer smartphones.

The Redmi Turbo 3 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220px and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen boasts 12-bit colors, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. Additionally, Xiaomi has included an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and a 20MP front camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.

On the back, there is a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor (1.6μ pixels, f/1.59 aperture) that comes with OIS. It is accompanied by an 8MP IMX355 ultrawide lens.

The Redmi Turbo offers options of 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Running Android 14 with HyperOS, the device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging.

The Redmi Turbo 3 is available in black, green, and titanium colors, with a special Harry Potter limited edition variant offered.

In China, the starting price is CNY 1,999 ($276) for the 12/256GB version, and goes up to CNY 2,799 ($386) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model. Sales in China commence on April 15. The Redmi Turbo 3 is speculated to release in global markets under the name Poco F6.
