This week saw the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE4 and Tecno Pova 6 Pro. Let’s take a look at their prices and how they stack up against their predecessors.
The OnePlus Nord CE4 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset featuring a significantly improved GPU. It also boasts dust and water resistance with an IP54 rating – a step up from the lack of IP rating on the CE3. Additionally, the battery capacity is now 5,500mAh, 10% larger than its predecessor, and charges faster. The CE4 promises two major OS updates and three years of security patches.
Interestingly, the OnePlus Nord CE3 is priced the same as its successor, without any significant discounts. While the larger sensor in the 50MP main camera is a nice upgrade, the features of the CE4 make it a more compelling choice.
On the other hand, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro now features an AMOLED display, an improvement over the IPS LCD of its predecessor. The main camera has been upgraded to 108MP and the selfie camera to 32MP. With a 6,000mAh battery and 70W charging, this phone is great for gaming and offers excellent endurance.
While the Tecno Pova 5 Pro offers a more budget-friendly option, with the same chipset as the 6 Pro and a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery, it may be a better choice depending on your camera needs.
The Realme Narzo 60x offers 5G capability at a price just above ₹10,000, with a 6.72” IPS LCD display, a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging, and competitive performance with the Dimensity 6100+ chipset. Additional RAM can be purchased for a small fee.
From budget-friendly options to premium smartphones, there’s also the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Motorola Edge 50 Pro to consider. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is currently in early access, while the Motorola Edge 50 Pro promises top-tier features at a competitive price point.
The Realme 12x offers another mid-range option with a 6.67” 120Hz IPS LCD display and a 5,000mAh battery, making it a worthy alternative to other smartphones in the same price range.
