Compared to other models on the market, Samsung’s foldable smartphones are known for their slower charging speeds. This trend is expected to continue with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, as both devices have been certified by 3C with a 25W charger.

The 3C website lists the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 (SM-F9560) and Galaxy Z Flip6 (SM-F7410) with the EP-TA800 charger, which supports up to 25W charging. This is consistent with previous models like the Galaxy Z Fold5, Flip5, and Galaxy S24 (S24+ and S24 Ultra, which support up to 45W charging).

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 get 3C certified without any charging speed upgrades

While the listing on 3C indicates a 25W charger for both devices, it doesn’t necessarily mean that 25W will be the maximum charging speed supported. However, given Samsung’s history with charging speeds, it’s unlikely that we’ll see the Galaxy Z Flip6 or Galaxy Z Fold6 support 45W charging or higher.

Despite the lack of charging speed upgrades, there are rumors that the Galaxy Z Flip6 may come with a larger battery capacity than its predecessor (4,000 mAh vs. 3,700 mAh).
