The nubia Flip, which was showcased at MWC 2024, has been announced as the most affordable foldable phone in global markets. It has now made its debut in China with an even more enticing starting price of CNY2,999, approximately $415.
The nubia Flip closely resembles the ZTE Libero Flip, released in Japan for JPY 63,000 ($420). It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and features a 50 MP main camera along with a 6.9” OLED foldable screen. In Japan, the mentioned price is for the 6/128 GB variant, while in China, the base model comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
The cover screen boasts a circular display measuring 1.43” diagonally and serves multiple purposes like camera viewfinding, call answering, media controls, weather updates, and other basic widgets. The company also mentioned that its dual-rail suspended hinge can endure over 200,000 folds, meeting industry standards.

Equipped with a 4,310 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, the nubia Flip is available in Black, Gold, and Pink color options. For enhanced specifications, customers can opt for the 12/256 GB model priced at CNY3,299 ($455), or the 12/512 GB version at CNY3,699 ($510).
