Recently, the announcement was made that the Red Magic sub-brand from nubia would be releasing a special edition Bumblebee version of the Red Magic 9 Pro+ smartphone today, and that’s exactly what happened.
This version is all about the color yellow and features themes inspired by Bumblebee from Transformers. The phone sports a striking black and yellow paint job that makes it stand out, especially since it is a limited edition release.
With a carbon fiber textured finish and a Bumblebee logo alongside the Red Magic branding, the phone also includes custom packaging with Bumblebee codenames, a black and yellow magnetic cooler, a themed 165W GaN charger, a specially designed SIM tray eject tool, a black and yellow USB-C cable, a Bumblebee badge, and a unique magnetic case. The software is also heavily themed around Bumblebee.
Priced at CNY 6,499, which is approximately $900 or €833, this special edition offers the same specifications as the standard Red Magic 9 Pro+ but comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It is unlikely that this version will be officially sold outside of China.
