OnePlus promptly released the stable Android 14 update for the OnePlus 11, but took longer to roll out the same update for its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open. Now, the OxygenOS 14 update based on Android 14 is finally on its way to the Open.

Initially, the rollout is limited to India only. It is expected to become a global release soon.

OnePlus Open finally receives Android 14 update

The stable update is first being sent to those who participated in OnePlus’ Closed Beta and Open Beta programs. It will then gradually reach more users.

The new build is labeled CPH2551_14.0.0.400(EX01). The official changelog from OnePlus includes the following updates:

  • Adds Aqua Dynamics, for viewing up-to-date information at a glance.
  • Adds File Dock, for transferring content between apps and devices.
  • Adds Content Extraction, for recognizing and extracting text and images from the screen.
  • Adds Smart Cutout, for separating multiple subjects in a photo from the background.
  • Improves Shelf by adding more widget recommendations.
  • Enhances photo and video-related permission management for safer access by apps.
  • Improves system stability, app launch speed, and animation smoothness.
  • Upgrades Aquamorphic Design with a natural, gentle, and clearer color style.
  • Adds Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamps the system notification sounds.
  • Improves system animations by making them even smoother.
  • Adds a carbon tracking AOD that visualizes the carbon emissions avoided by walking instead of driving.
