There is talk of Oppo and vivo ending their involvement in the foldable market. This reportedly includes OnePlus, as the OnePlus Open is essentially the international version of Oppo’s Find N3.

These brands are said to be making this decision due to a significant decline in foldable market share last year. This means they will eventually step back and leave Samsung and Huawei to dominate the foldable market.

Huawei is rumored to be working on a 10-inch double-folding smartphone targeting the tablet market. It is described as having a Z shape or two hinges, with the goal of launching before the end of June.

Meanwhile, Samsung has reportedly finished developing a rollable display, and there are growing market expectations for the launch of a rollable smartphone. It is also possible that Samsung may pursue the tri-fold route like Huawei.

It remains to be seen whether any of this should be taken seriously. Only time will tell.
