Oppo has confirmed its return to Europe, with company executives making the announcement during MWC 2024. The brand plans to launch the upcoming Find flagship series in all the countries where Oppo had a presence previously.
Additionally, Oppo revealed a 3-year partnership with the Telefonica group based in Spain, which will assist in the brand’s reintroduction to the European market.
Unfortunately, the confirmation of the “upcoming gen of Find series” means that the Find X7 Ultra will not be available in Europe. Fans will have to wait for the Find X8 series and/or the Find N4 foldables. The Oppo Reno phones are also set to make a comeback throughout 2024, providing European customers with more midrange-to-premium options.
The partnership with Telefonica will allow Oppo to start selling its devices through carriers in at least four countries. With Spain being the first, Telefonica also operates in Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Oppo had ceased sales in Europe due to a legal dispute with Nokia over 5G patents. However, both companies recently signed a multi-year cross-license agreement, paving the way for Oppo’s re-entry into the European market.
