Oppo has made public the creation of the Oppo AI Center to enhance its AI capabilities and “explore a wider range of user-focused AI products and features that will allow OPPO to offer users the most current experiences in AI.” Also, the brand revealed that the Reno11 series introduced last year will receive generative AI features by Q2 2024.
Oppo did not disclose the complete list of generative AI features that the Reno11 lineup will receive, but they confirmed that the series will receive the AI Eraser. The brand also assured that the generative AI features will be made available to the Reno11 smartphones worldwide and will not be limited to China.
Regarding the announcement, Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer at Oppo, stated, “Following feature phones and smartphones, next-generation AI Smartphones will represent the third significant transformative stage in the mobile phone industry. In the era of AI Smartphones, both the mobile phone industry and user experience will undergo revolutionary changes. OPPO is committed to being a contributor and promoter of AI Smartphones.“
The Reno11 series is composed of three smartphones – Reno11, Reno11 Pro, and Reno11 F. It’s unclear if Oppo plans to expand the lineup or introduce the Reno12 series next.
