Oppo has joined other large tech companies in unveiling a new product at MWC 2024. Today, they shared their upcoming plans regarding AI along with the new Air Glass 3 XR (extended reality) eyewear prototype.
The eyewear can connect to Oppo’s AndesGPT model through a smartphone, offering a seamless AI experience without any added burden. Oppo seems to believe that the traditional method of pressing a button on your phone is outdated and is making efforts to change that.
Weighing 50 grams, the Air Glass 3 features a self-developed resin waveguide with a refractive index of 1.70. It boasts a peak eye brightness of over 1,000 nits.
Oppo claims that these specifications provide a viewing experience similar to regular glasses while offering the best full-color display available.
The eyewear features an AI voice assistant powered by AndesGPT, allowing for touch interactions to control music, voice calls, information display, and image browsing. It is equipped with four microphones designed for improved noise isolation, and Oppo promises high-quality audio output as well.
