This month, again, we are here with details revealing what local car assemblers has earned last month in terms of sales, bringing a detailed comparison in term of cars and companies as well. We’ll delve into the latest figures from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report.

Following an impressive 18% increase in September 2024, October saw an even more significant surge of 27%. Carmakers sold 13,108 units last month, compared to 10,297 in September. Year-on-year, sales have grown by a substantial 112%. Local manufacturers managed to sell 13,108 cars in October 2024, compared to just 6,180 units during the same period in 2023.

Two & Three wheelers

Local motorcycle and three-wheeler manufacturers witnessed a robust 5% month-on-month growth in October 2024, with sales reaching 137,693 units. This is a significant 35% year-on-year increase compared to the 101,976 units sold in October 2023.

Atlas Honda: The market leader, Atlas Honda, recorded a 5% month-on-month growth, selling 115,293 units in October 2024 compared to 110,139 units in September 2024.

Pak Suzuki: Pak Suzuki also witnessed positive momentum, with a 6% month-on-month increase. The company sold 2,182 bikes in October 2024, up from 2,049 units in September 2024.

This surge in motorcycle sales indicates a strong demand for two-wheelers in the local market. Factors such as increasing fuel prices and the need for affordable transportation options are likely contributing to this trend.

Trucks & Buses

Sales of trucks and buses have been increased by 10% last month selling 351 units compared to 319 in September 2024.

Company-Wise Sales Breakdown

Toyota Pakistan’s sales increased by 7%, selling 2,532 units last month compared to 2,367 vehicles in September 2024.

However, Honda Atlas sales narrate a similar story, saw a jump of 19%, selling 1,514 units last month compared to 1,269 units in Sept’24.

Pak Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC) sales increased by 40%, selling 7,040 vehicles in October this year against 5,013 cars in September 2024.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Nishat sales observed a decline of 26%, selling 504 units last month compared to 677 units in Sept’24.

Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) sales Increased by 21% in last month, selling  999 cars contra to 824 units in Sept 2024.

It is worth mentioning that sales numbers for Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton are not included in the report as they are not PAMA members.

Car-Wise Sales Breakdown

Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) sold 4,685 units of Alto, 343 units of Suzuki Cultus, 226 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 330 units of Suzuki Swift, 1,044 units of Suzuki Bolan, and 412 units of Suzuki Ravi.

Toyota Indus sold 2,101 units of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla and 431 units of Fortuner and Hilux.

Honda Atlas sold 1,148 units of City and Civic, and 96 units of BR-V and HR-V.

Hyundai Nishat sold 105 units of Elantra, 43 units of Sonata, 245 units of Porter, and 111 units of Tucson.
