In a significant move to provide relief to the public, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a reduction in the prices of petroleum products. According to media reports, petrol price has been slashed by Rs.10 per liter, providing much-needed relief to motorists and the general public.

In addition to petrol, the government has also reduced the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) Rs.13.06 per liter. This reduction is expected to have a positive impact on transportation costs, potentially lowering the prices of goods and services across the country.

Kerosene oil, commonly used for cooking and heating in rural areas, has also seen a price cut. The new price of kerosene oil will be Rs. 11.15 per liter less than before. Similarly, the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by PKR 12.12 per liter.

These reductions in fuel prices will be effective from midnight tonight, offering immediate relief to consumers. The government’s decision is anticipated to ease inflationary pressures and contribute to economic stability by lowering the cost of transportation and daily necessities.

Overall, this move by the government aims to alleviate the financial burden on the public and support economic activity in various sectors affected by rising fuel costs.
