The much-anticipated Jaguar concept car was revealed and like its ad, it raises several questions, such as who designed it, why, and how, and the primary question once again is WHY!? Just for a recall, Jaguar’s new advertisement faced a lot of flack from car lovers because there were only models in it and, very surprisingly, no car, and it looked more like an ad for a clothing or perfume brand. It further got attention when Tesla founder Elon Musk asked Jaguar, “Do you sell cars?” But on the bright side, everyone started talking about Jaguar, so a win-win maybe?

Coming back to the car, here are the photos:

So, what do you think? Is it good? Is it not? At one glance, it looks like a car in old 3D games. One thing is sure, though: it will let people talk once again. Here are some details of the car.

Jaguar Type 00

The name of the concept car is Jaguar Type 00, a futuristic one, indeed. The two-door coupe that hints at the styling of brand’s electric four-door grand tourer, lives somewhere between Rolls Royce Specter and Tesla Cyber Truck. This revelation at the Miami Art Week, finally provides a glimpse of what to expect from the electric Jaguars that should hit the road in late 2026.

Coming to the design, the new concept car is dominated by hard edges and a monolithic presence. The front and rear of the car is upright and blunt, complimented with rectangular shape in the middle. The company is calling this new design “strikethough”. The face comes with angular and simple headlights in the shape of single LED line, giving it the robotic and futuristic look

The interior has fastback profile combined with gun-slit windows. The steering wheel is also in rectangular shape and seats look something from a video game.

Then on the side of the car there is a small brass trim piece with laser-etched “leaper” logo, which the company is calling “ingot” has rear-facing cameras in place of traditional side view mirrors. Furthermore, there are cyberpunk-style wheels with the new logo of the company which has two “J” written upside down in a circular shape.

The rear of the Type 00 is also quite a surprising one with no rear-view windows and the fenders curving back to meet a rectangular panel. The design also conceals the taillights, consist of two thin lines. The roof has a panoramic glass panel with a glazed finish.

As per JLR, chief creative officer, Gerry McGovern “Type 00 is a pure expression of Jaguar’s new creative philosophy. This is the result of brave, unconstrained creative thinking, and unwavering determination.”
