The Huawei Watch 4 Pro initially hit the market in June, but the company is now introducing a special Space Exploration edition which is currently available for pre-order in China, with an official release date of April 12.
With a price tag of CNY 4,999 (around $691 or €637), this edition takes design inspiration from space rockets and boasts a ceramic bezel and sapphire glass with diamond-like coating for enhanced durability.
The watch features a titanium bracelet and supports Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology. This enables hands-free access to the Aito M9 car, unlocking when the wearer is within 8 meters of it.
Users can control the car using voice commands via the watch, including opening windows or trunk, and monitoring the car’s status through the Aito app. Additionally, a customizable Aito watch face is available.
The Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration edition includes an eSIM for making calls without a nearby smartphone. Huawei touts 13 health indicators and more precise health reports compared to other smartwatches.
This watch boasts 5ATM/50m water resistance, measures 49.1mm in length, 12.9mm in thickness, and weighs 68g. The 1.5-inch 466×466 AMOLED screen is compatible with Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2.0 and above, Android 8.0 and above, and iOS 13 and above. Battery life is advertised at 4.5 days in normal mode, and up to 21 days in battery saver mode.
