Following a rigorous crackdown on motorists without valid licenses, the traffic police in the province has issued another update. In a tweet, Lahore Traffic Police announced that police services will not be available until outstanding fines are paid.

Therefore, it is advised to think twice before breaking traffic laws. Offenders will be unable to access services such as learner permits, duplicate licenses, new licenses, and 14 other amenities. They will also be unable to obtain character certificates, police verifications, and more. The Safe City Punjab, Police Service Centre has been enlisted for this purpose.

Additionally, measures have been put in place to crackdown on individuals altering license plates. Action will also be taken against those who obscure plate numbers with black paint or unclear markings.

This decision aims to promote discipline among citizens and reduce traffic violations. It underscores the importance of adhering to traffic regulations for the safety and well-being of all road users.

To facilitate the public, the traffic police have launched an online service to streamline the licensing process, given the increase in license applications in the region.

Renew Driving License Online

Individuals can now renew their licenses online for periods of one, three, five, and ten years. International driving licenses will remain valid for three years.

It has been announced that individuals can easily download their local and international e-licenses, eliminating the need for physical driving tests.
