Earlier this September, we informed you that the Punjab government is all set to bring a vanity number plate scheme for those who personalized their vehicle number plate with their name or company branding. However, this time again, we are here with another update translating how to get vanity number plate through auction.

  • Registration Start by registering through the app or web portal. Enter your personal details, including your CNIC, email address, and phone number, as these are mandatory fields. Once you’ve submitted your information, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number or email. Enter the OTP to verify your registration.
  • Log In After successful registration, use your login credentials to access the E-Auction app.
  • Select Your Number Head to the “E-Auction” section on the app or portal. Choose the number you want, then input your vehicle’s full chassis number as shown on the sales invoice. Make sure the chassis number is correct, as it cannot be changed after submission. Once submitted, a confirmation message will appear. You can check the status of your application in the “My Applications” section.
  • Make Your Payment You will receive a Payment Slip ID (PSID) via SMS, which includes the reserve value and participation fee. Pay Rs. 100 through mobile banking, an ATM, or any bank. Once the payment is successful, your application will be authorized, allowing you to bid once the auction starts.

Categories

The newly launched scheme offers three categories for customization:

Platinum Category: This category allows for up to eight characters, including names or meaningful words. For instance, you could choose “SARAH” as your number plate. The platinum category has a price base of Rs. 5 million.

Corporate Category: Designed for businesses, this category allows companies to display their names on their vehicles. Examples include COCA-COLA, PEPSI, NESTLE, U-FONE, and AI-FALAH. The Corporate category has a fixed price of Rs. 10 million for registration and an additional fee for each attractive registration mark.

Gold Category: If you are interested in adding some specific letters or numbers to your vehicle number plate, this category can turn a wish into a reality by providing you with a mix of three letters and three numbers. The price for the gold category clocks at Rs. 0.5 million
