Steps for Taking a Driving Test in Punjab

Furthering this initiative, the Lahore Traffic Police (LTP) has released a video providing tips for passing the driving license test to the general public. In the video, a police official shares valuable insights on what to avoid during the test through simple steps.

Test Guidelines

Prior to beginning the test, make sure to:

  • Adjust the seat properly
  • Fasten the seat belt
  • Adjust the side view mirrors

The most challenging part of the driving test is reversing, and the official recommends keeping the car on the passenger side to succeed in this. The officer explains, “If you reverse the car with it positioned on the driver’s side, it will collide with the cones.”

Candidates who make mistakes during the test are given an opportunity to rectify them. “If you face difficulty while reversing, you will be allowed to drive forward once and then reverse again, positioning the car on the left side of the track,” assures the officer.

By following these straightforward guidelines, passing the driving test in Punjab is within reach. Therefore, it is advisable to apply for your driving license, obtain it, and avoid heavy fines and legal repercussions.
