The Redmi Note 13 series offers a wide range of devices, with seven in total. However, it appears that the Xiaomi sub-brand isn’t stopping at the number 13. They are currently working on the Redmi 13 (without the “Note”), a more budget-friendly model compared to the Note series.

FCC certification and an appearance in an IMEI database have confirmed the existence of the Redmi 13. It will come pre-installed with HyperOS 1.0, operating on the Android 14 platform.

The phone will feature a 5,000 mAh battery with charging capabilities of up to 33W. The certified battery has a rated capacity of 4,930 mAh, expected to translate to a “typical” capacity of 5,000 mAh.

While additional specifications have not been disclosed through the certification process, the model number for the Redmi 13 is known as 24049RN28L. This deviates from the typical Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco model number endings, such as “C” for China, “G” for global markets, or “I” for India. As of now, it remains uncertain where the device will be launched. However, given the FCC certification, it is likely not limited to China.

The Redmi 13 will succeed the Redmi 12, which was introduced in June of last year. The Redmi 12 featured a 6.79-inch 90 Hz LCD display, the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, RAM options of 2/4/6/8GB, storage configurations of 128/256GB, a 50 MP main rear camera along with an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera, an 8 MP front camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 18W wired charging.
