The Redmi Buds 5 earbuds have been released by Xiaomi in India. They can be purchased starting from February 20 on Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Homes, and Xiaomi retail partners for INR 2,999.
According to the company, the Redmi Buds 5 come with active noise cancellation that is said to block 46dB of noise for up to 99.5% of noise cancellation. The ANC offers three modes: Deep noise cancellation, Balanced noise cancellation, and Light noise cancellation. The transparency mode offers presets such as Regular, Enhance Voice, and Enhance Ambient Sound.
The earbuds have 12.4mm dynamic drivers with a polymeric titanium-plated diaphragm. The Xiaomi Earbuds app allows you to choose between presets such as Standard, Enhanced Treble, Enhanced Bass, and Enhanced Voice.
The dual-channel AI algorithm can provide high-quality calls even in windy conditions. The earbuds support dual-device pairing and can seamlessly switch between the two for audio and voice calls. They also feature an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Xiaomi claims a battery life of 10 hours for continuous playback with ANC disabled and 38 hours in total with the charge in the case. A 5-minute quick charge gives you 2 hours of playback and a 10-minute charge can provide 4 hours of playback.
The Redmi Buds 5 will be available in three colors: Fusion Purple, Fusion Black, and Fusion White.
