Samsung France unveiled the official repairability ratings for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 ahead of their release. France enacted obligatory repairability labels for electronic devices in 2020. The rating is calculated based on 5 categories which take into consideration the availability of spare parts, repair manuals and repair tools, among other factors. The scores for each category are then multiplied by a weighted coefficient to determine the final repairability score.
The Galaxy A55 earned an 8.5/10 rating, a slight increase from the previous year’s Galaxy A54 which achieved an 8.3/10 score.
