Overview
Here we have yet another review on the Redmi Note 13, and no, we haven’t had the chance to review this one just yet. Although it may be called the Redmi Note 13 5G, it is actually the most basic model in the series.
The design of the Redmi Note 13 5G is similar to the other models in the series and comes in various colors, with IP54-rated ingress protection.
Featuring a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, it has the same screen size as the rest of the Note series, with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Some markets may also offer 10-bit color depth on the panel.
Packed with the MediaTek 6080 5G chipset, the Redmi Note 13 5G is available with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, both supporting microSD expansion.
The rear of the Note 13 5G includes a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth sensor. Unlike the 4G version, there is no macro camera included.
Unlike the 4G version, the 5G Note 13 does not have stereo speakers or an under-display fingerprint scanner. This makes it the most basic model in the series, despite not being the cheapest one.
The Redmi Note 13 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14.

The Redmi Note 13 5G appears to be a well-rounded smartphone, similar to the Redmi Note 13 4G. However, we do miss the stereo speakers – it feels unnecessary to leave them out.
Unboxing the Redmi Note 13 5G
The items included in the retail box for the Redmi Note 13 5G are minimal – a USB-C-to-A cable, a 33W power adapter, and a dark gray protective case. We wonder why Xiaomi decided to include dark cases instead of transparent ones with their latest models.
Additionally, a thin protective film has been applied to the Note 13, serving well against scratches but also attracting smudges.
