Each year, countless individuals head to stores and online retailers to purchase the newest Redmi Note smartphone. This year, we expect the trend to continue with the release of the latest Redmi Note 13 Pro, which once again stands out as one of the best value-for-money phones on the market.
In typical Xiaomi fashion, the series has become somewhat convoluted and crowded, with both 4G and 5G versions, Pro 5G and 4G models, and even a 5G Pro+. In this review, we will be focusing on the Redmi Note 13 Pro (5G), which appears to be the most popular of the series.
The latest Redmi Note 13 Pro boasts significant upgrades over the Redmi Note 12 Pro, including an improved display with higher resolution, brightness, and color range, a faster chipset, more storage options, and an enhanced primary camera.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro is IP54-rated and features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1220p resolution, 12-bit color depth, up to 1,800nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. This panel supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content and is protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus shield.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, available with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
The primary camera now utilizes a 200MP Samsung sensor with OIS, promising improved photo and video capture. The 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 16MP selfie cameras remain unchanged.
Additionally, the Redmi Note 13 Pro boasts an under-display fingerprint scanner, a first for the global Redmi series. It also includes Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14, with support for HyperOS planned in the future.
While an IP68 rating would have been a nice addition, the IP54-rated Redmi Note 13 Pro should offer sufficient protection against the elements.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro comes packaged in a sturdy white box containing the phone, a 67W power adapter, a 6A-rated USB-A-to-C cable, and a protective case.
Upon unboxing, we found that the device had a thin protective film applied to the screen, although it was susceptible to smudges.
