We can declare the previous seven days to be ‘Galaxy week’ officially. Despite the rumors and leaks that spoiled most of the surprises, Samsung has dominated the news with the announcement of the Galaxy S24 series.

Naturally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra stood out from the Galaxy S24 and S24+ due to its new 5x camera, Titanium frame and new Corning glass, and the fact that it’s Samsung’s largest flagship of the year.

At the announcement, AI took the spotlight. The new Galaxies feature numerous AI-powered capabilities. Circle to Search is a gesture-driven feature developed in collaboration with Google, enabling users to long-press on the home button or the gesture hint bar, circle over anything on the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s display, and obtain more details about it. Transcript Assist can transcribe voice notes, summarize, and even translate them. Interpreter is an app that allows individuals speaking in different languages to communicate, while Live Translate does the same within the Phone app.

In addition, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s cameras introduce a new ProVisual Engine that adjusts images on the spot. AI is employed to reposition or remove objects and photobombers from the frame and then fill in the empty space. The Galaxy S24 Ultra begins at $1,300/£1,250 for the 12GB/256GB model, or €1,450 in Europe, where you get only 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage for some reason.

The Galaxy S24 and S24+ also made their entrance. Both phones will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in South Korea, the US, and China, and Samsung’s new in-house Exynos 2400 elsewhere. The Galaxy S24+ is the more significant update of the two, featuring a slightly larger and much sharper LTPO display and a 5% larger battery.

Finally, Samsung has committed to providing 7 years of software support for the Galaxy S24 series!

As a bonus, we shared brief initial impressions of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and the OnePlus 12.

In other news, we also have the LTE-only version. Let’s begin the review process with a quick unboxing of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G before we can delve deeper into it.
