Realme has just introduced the Realme 12 Pro series, which includes both the Realme 12 Pro and the Realme 12 Pro+. We have received the Pro+ model in Submarine Blue at our office for review. Before we begin testing it, let’s do a quick unboxing of the smartphone.
The Realme 12 Pro+ comes in a yellow retail package and includes a protective case, charging cable, 67W power adapter, and SIM ejector tool.
The Realme 12 Pro+ features a 6.7″ 120Hz FullHD+ curved AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint reader, which we found to be both fast and accurate. The display also showcases a centered punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera (IMX615).
If you turn the phone around, you’ll notice a design similar to the Realme 11 Pro+, thanks to the 3D Jubilee Bracelet on the back cover and the centrally aligned camera island. The back panel of the Realme 12 Pro+ uses vegan leather, made from dirt-resistant high-end silicone materials, offering a luxurious feel, preventing fingerprint smudges, and providing a good grip.
Although the design is similar to the Realme 11 Pro+, the Realme 12 Pro+ now features a larger circular camera island, housing LED flash and three cameras – 50MP primary (IMX890, OIS), 64MP periscope telephoto (OV64B, OIS), and 8MP ultrawide. The telephoto unit offers 3x optical zoom and 6x in-sensor zoom.
The camera island is surrounded by a Golden Fluted Bezel with a Polished Sunburst Dial, creating a premium look for the Realme 12 Pro+’s Submarine Blue version.
Under the hood, the Realme 12 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 and has a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging support.
Additional features of the Realme 12 Pro+ include an IP65 rating, 5G connectivity, Hi-Res dual speakers, and Dolby Atmos. We have just started our review process, so stay tuned to see how the Realme 12 Pro+ performs.
