Last week, Xiaomi began the worldwide release of its Redmi Note 13 series and also unveiled two Note 13 4G models. The Redmi Note 13 4G is the most budget-friendly option in the series and is the latest device to arrive at our office for review.
According to the specifications, the only distinction between the Note 13 4G and its 5G counterpart is the chipset, but let’s explore what else this device has to offer.
Our review unit of the Note 13 4G comes in Midnight Black with a glossy, mirror-like finish on the back. While it initially looked clean, it quickly showed fingerprints as we set up the device. Thankfully, Xiaomi includes a gray silicone case to address this issue. Additionally, a 33W charging brick and a USB-C cable are included.
The Redmi Note 13 4G boasts the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate as the Note 13 5G. One advantage of the Note 13 4G is its under-display fingerprint scanner, while the 5G model has a side-mounted reader.
On the back, there is a trio of cameras, each housed in its own ring, with the main shooter being 108MP. The 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras are the same as those found on other Note 13 models. The software is MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Other notable features include an IR blaster, headphone jack, and an IP54-rated design.
That’s all for now – it’s time for the Note 13 4G to undergo our review process. Keep an eye on our homepage for the full review.
