The Samsung Galaxy S24 was revealed last week and has arrived at our office for assessment. We have the Amber Yellow version, but regardless of the color you choose, the package includes a charging cable, SIM ejector tool, and paperwork. Additional items such as a protective case or power adapter will require a separate purchase.

The US, Canadian, and Chinese models of the Samsung Galaxy S24 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the European version we have is equipped with the Exynos 2400 SoC. This smartphone operates on Android 14-based One UI 6.1 with a maximum of 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 features a 6.2″ FullHD+ 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and with a centered punch-hole for the 12MP selfie camera.

On the back, there is a vertically arranged triple camera setup consisting of 50 MP primary (with OIS), 10 MP telephoto (OIS, 3x optical zoom), and a 12 MP ultrawide (120˚ FOV) units.

Other notable features of the Samsung Galaxy S24 include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, and stereo speakers. The smartphone is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support.

The Galaxy S24 shares similar hardware with last year’s Galaxy S23 but has a slightly larger battery and a screen with higher peak brightness. The display is also of the LTPO-type, and Samsung has committed to providing seven years of Android version upgrades and security updates for the S24 series.
