660cc cars are people’s first choice when fuel economy is their primary concern. Along with economy, 660cc cars offer good hi-techs (except Alto) as compared to PKDM 1300 and 1500cc cars of the same range with solid built quality (except Alto).

Now, if you go to the market, you’ll see a lot of 660cc options. For an estimate, there are about 25 JDM 660cc car models from multiple brands that you can import to Pakistan. Out of which, how would you know which car is suitable for resale and parts availability? You can consult a local mechanic or someone who may have owned a 660cc vehicle. But, most of their advice will be based on their personal preferences and POV.

Here, we’re with the best 660cc cars according to resale and parts availability, based on facts and market preference, sourced from our Pakwheels website statistics.

Suzuki Alto VXL - Fun and easy to drive | Suzuki Fort Motors

We know Suzuki Alto doesn’t justify the 1st position here. Its built quality is sub-par, its drive quality is not good, and it’s just an overpriced piece of metal with nothing fancy. After paying a whopping 24 lacs for the base VX variant, Suzuki doesn’t even offer an AC, power windows, or even wheel caps on the rims. However, the market preference is for the Suzuki Alto. This is the least depreciating car in its category.

If you buy this vehicle right now for 24 lacs on-road and use it for one year next year, it’ll surely resell within a 23 lacs PKR budget. If the price of a new vehicle goes up, you’ll get a further edge of appreciation. So, if you want a car with a secure investment, the Alto is the best choice you can have in Pakistan in the 660cc category.

Daihatsu Mira X Price in Pakistan, Specification & Features | PakWheels

Mira is a JDM Kei 660cc. Until 2018, when imports were cheap, it was the most popular 660cc option in the local market. After 2018, imports started getting expensive, and until 2022, JDM car pricing skyrocketed due to PKR depreciation.

Today, you can get the 2020’s newest generation for under 36 lacs PKR. We know that 36 lacs for a 660cc doesn’t make any sense, but some people are ready to spend that much money on a Kei car.

First of all, the built-in tech goodies you get in Mira’s 2020 model—a PKDM would charge you at least 7-8 million for that. For example, collision alerts, reverse cameras, digital climate control, rain sensors, and CVT transmission—all these specs exist in the 35 lacs Mira 2020 model.

Honda to Begin Sales of All-new N-WGN and N-WGN Custom | Honda Global Corporate Website

N-Wgn is also a good car if your only concern is cabin space. As its name suggests, it’s a boxy-shaped wagon that offers gorgeous cabin space and incredible leg space. However, you might need to compromise on the exterior looks. We showed the N-Wgn exterior to our team, and everyone called it “displeasing.”

The engine is a tiny 660cc, and we don’t think you want to take it on the highway. Its boxy exterior makes its aerodynamics worse, and small tires don’t make it a good motorway cruiser.

Daihatsu Move Custom Rs Sa Ii Specs, Dimensions and Photos | CAR FROM JAPAN

The Move Custom is one of the best deals in the Kei JDM’s. First of all, the design and exterior look aesthetically pleasing. The interior is packed full of hi-tech goodies with digital dual-zone climate control and four airbags, only under 25 lacs PKR for the 2014 model. Moreover, it’s Daihatsu, the daughter company of Toyota, so resale and parts availability aren’t issues in the local market.

The headlights are complete LED projector lamps, and the AC performance is super in the class. The drive quality is also good enough. The only problem is that Move customs are usually accidental, which is why they in good pricing.

If you don’t mind an accidental car, then the Move Custom 2014-16 model is the best and wise option.

Suzuki WagonR Hybrid 2018 Detailed Review - Price In Pakistan - Specs & Features - YouTube

WagonR is also a great Kei car option. There is a better option of PKDM WagonR, which is a 1,000cc local one. The locally assembled one has better cabin space, a powerful engine, and better drive quality than the JDM version, maybe due to bigger seats.

However, in the local WagonR, due to the 1,000cc engine, you’ve to compromise on the fuel economy, which is better in the JDM version. That’s the reason why people still buy the JDM version over the PKDM. You also get other hi-tech goodies like rain-sensing wipers, and in newer models, you get projector lamps, S-hybrid technology, parking sensors, radars, and auto-headlights.
