With incredibly high motorcycle prices in Pakistan, they’ve now become out of reach for average middle-class people, especially YBR, GS150, and GD110s, which are priced at more than 300,000 PKR; for a middle-class person, they are not easy to purchase options.
Here we are again with another listicle on top used motorcycle options under 150K PKR.
This list includes options based on their maintenance cost, running cost, spare parts availability, pricing, and resale value.
Suzuki GS150 (2005-2009)
At this price, you can only find some old models up to 2009. You gotta shop around carefully, or you might end up with a lousy deal that causes headaches down the road. If the bike is single-handed use, non-accidental, single owner, and driven with care and proper maintenance, it’s not a bad deal.
When buying a GS at this price, the main things to worry about are the frame (chassis) and the engine. Later, you can fix things like the speedometer, fuel tank scratches, suspension leakage, or rusty chrome.
Big dents or rust on the body are red flags. Look closely at the head tube (the cone-set area) for any weird welds. Aftermarket welds usually mean a nasty crash, so it is best to avoid such types of options.
Suzuki GS150 (2005-2009), Budget: 1.3-1.5 Lacs PKR
Honda CG125 (2018-2020)
Honda CG125 could be the best option for those under 150K PKR. It’s a highly reliable all-rounder motorcycle that can go anywhere you want and doesn’t demand any major maintenance work.
With a budget under 150,000 rupees, you have a good chance of finding a well-maintained CG125 in excellent condition from model years 2018 to 2020. Prioritize finding a bike with a sealed engine and non-accidental chassis, but you can indeed find a cosmetically good-looking bike in this range.
One of our editorial team members also bought the 2017 model of the CG125. Sealed engine, no past crashes. They look satisfied with their purchase and consider it an excellent deal. But remember, our team member did their homework – combing the market for the best deal. We recommend you do the same! Especially for CG newbies, consider involving a friend or familiar member who owns or has owned CG to join your search process.
Honda CG125 (2018-2020), Budget: 1.2-1.5 Lacs PKR
Honda CD70 (2023-24)
If you want to stay on the safe side and you’re not interested in doing experiments, you can go with the CD70, which is almost in brand-new condition. In this budget, you will easily find a 2023-24 model under 133K-150K PKR.
This bike needs no introduction. It’s fuel efficient, requires little to no major maintenance, and spares are dirt cheap, with mechanical availability all over the country. For a fun fact, it’s also probably the first bike of all new riders in Pakistan.
Moreover, the 2023-24 models will also be covered in the warranty period, so it’s another edge. You’ll be assured that if anything goes wrong, you’ll have full support from the 3s AHL dealership.
Honda CD70 (2023-24), Budget: 1.4-1.5 Lacs PKR
Honda Pridor (2020-2023)
Here’s the thing about the Pridor: Resale value is a weak point. While a great choice for some riders, it hasn’t achieved mainstream popularity like other Atlas Honda models.
Pridor is overall a good motorcycle. Its suspensions are good, it can do offroad, and its fuel average is also above 48 Km/l. It’s just not a successful vehicle in 2-wheelers. Majorly, consumers who make up their minds to buy Pridor end up buying either CG125 or CD70 as CD is much cheaper and CG is more expensive than Pridor.
Due to its low resale, you can easily find a very good deal in the used market, e.g., 2022 and 2023 models for under 135-155K budget.
Honda Pridor (2021-2023), Budget: 1.25-1.55 Lacs PKR.
