Every month, PAMA releases its monthly sales report of all automotive products, including cars, trucks, pickups, 2-wheeler motorcycles, and 3-wheeler loaders. The June 2024 sales report has just been released, and here’s the list of all the brands that sold most motorcycles in June 2024.

#1. Atlas Honda (80,204 Sales)

We all knew that AHC would be in the #1 position. Atlas Honda dominates the market with a near-monopoly. No other brand can match its shoulder in terms of sales and revenue, not even close.

For an idea of Honda’s monopoly, see the bullets:

  • Atlas Honda alone made 80,000 sales in June 2024.
  • Cumulative sales of all other motorcycle brands (Yamaha, United, Suzuki, Road Prince, Hi-speed, Ravi, and Qingqi) were 9,800 in June 2024.

However, even now, at 80,000 sales, AHC sales are down 22% compared to May 2024, which were 103,297 sales. But, in comparison to June 2023, the sales have increased to 6%

#2. United Motorcycles ( 4,072 Sales)

Yes, this Chinese motorcycle brand somehow managed to take the runner-up spot, beating Suzuki and Yamaha. United claims to be the #1 local motorcycle brand in Pakistan, and it is in terms of sales.

The United is consumers’ 1st choice if they can’t afford CD70. Note that these sales are only related to 2-wheeler products like US 70, US 100, and US 125; three-wheeler rickshaws have another table in the PAMA report.

#3. Suzuki (1,570 Sales)

You might expect Suzuki to be in the first or second spot, right? Not all consumers have a 350,000+ budget for a commuter motorcycle like Suzuki, and as a result, its sales are even lower than those of United Motorcycles.

Suzuki indeed produces some solid motorcycles, but their pricing doesn’t match the buying power of most Pakistani consumers. For the basic GD 110s, a 110cc tiny carburetor engine bike, Suzuki has the guts to ask PKR 352,000.

Not just that, their GSX 125, a 125cc engine motorcycle, and Suzuki is demanding 500,000 PKR for it. Any sensible person will either buy a used Mehran or save money by purchasing a CG 125 or GS150.

#4. Road Prince (1,109 Sales)

Road Prince is also a local motorcycle brand, also termed as a Chinese motorcycle brand in the local mechanic’s language.

They sold 1,109 motorcycles in June 2024. Like United, Road Prince is also an alternative for those who can’t afford a brand new CD70 but want to experience a 0-meter 70cc motorcycle.

Both Road Prince and United produce the same quality bikes with no quality differences, just branding and sticker differences. The only thing is that United spends more on marketing than Road Prince, so they manage to sell more than Road Prince.

#5. Yamaha (338 Sales)

Yes, we’re referring to Yamaha, which makes YBR motorcycles. They only sold 338 motorcycles in the complete month of June 2024. It’s not about June only. In May, they sold 400 units, April sales were 321, and March sales were 285 units only

Yamaha is, in fact, one of the least-selling motorcycle brands in Pakistan. We all know the reasons: for the past seven years, they have given 0% innovation, just some sticker changes every year, and they are done. Despite this, Yamaha increases its YBR prices by almost 100% every year.

They have literally zero product choices; for seven years, they have only been selling one model, the YBR, and they are making zero efforts in innovation. Just look at Atlas Honda; they have every model and every design for almost every type of consumer.

These are the reasons for the miserable failure of Yamaha motorcycles.
