It’s the season of the ICC T20 Worldcup, and cricket’s hype is again at its peak these days, especially in India and Pakistan. Our people aren’t just crazy about the performance of cricket players; today’s Gen-z wants to know about their lifestyle and the luxuries they own, and one of them is their cars. If you’re one of them, here’s our blog on the cars owned by our Pakistani cricket players as well as Indian players, especially those who are a part of the upcoming Sunday match.
Pakistani Players
First, we’ll start with our PCB’s cricket team:
Babar Azam | Audi E-tron GT
You often see Babar Azam in the headlines for his superior batting performance, but he’s also known for his white and black color Audi E-tron GT. However, after going in-depth, we found that this car was actually gifted by his elder brother in September 2023. Yes, his brother gifted him a 5.5 crore car; what a brotherhood they’ve got!
Shaheen Afridi | Toyota Revo
We don’t know for sure what his primary car is, but we know for sure that he owns a “Kaala Dala” black Toyota Revo. The ICC actually honored this car with the title “Best Cricketer of the Year 2021” due to his magnificent performance in 2021 ICC matches.
Naseem Shah | Tesla Model S
Naseem Shah never made it public about which car he drives, but in January 20223, we saw his TikTok video where he was driving a Tesla Model S. However, in that video, he was driving his Tesla in UAE.
Muhammad Aamir | Mercedes E200 W212
We don’t need to trust any media source for this because Pakwheels restored his Mercedes E200 W212 in February 2023. Basically, this was an older generation E200 that he wanted to restore into the latest generation E200. You can also watch the video of Pakwheels if you want.
Indian Players
Now, we start the list of BCCI players. For your information, BCCI is the most expensive cricket board in the world, spending around $2.5 billion on its cricket team every year. Now you must have understood how they own such expensive cars.
Virat Kohli | Bentley Continental GT
According to a Times Of India article and Financial Express, Virat owns five Audis, including R8, S6, A8L, and Q7. The most recent addition to his collection is the Bentley Continental GT, a 4.0L V8 German luxury car that costs about 12-18 crore PKR in Pakistan.
Hardik Pandya | Mercedes G63 AMG
According to the Indian media, Hardik Pandya, the most popular Indian all-rounder, was spotted in a Mercedes G-wagon. The media also reported that he owns a top-of-the-line variant with a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 petrol engine that produces a power of 585 Bhp and a peak torque of 850 Nm. Along with G-wagon, he also owns a Lamborghini Huracan EVO and a Range Rover.
Rohit Sharma | Lamborghini Urus
While other players were choosing a G-wagon or Range Rover, Rohit chose a Lamborghini Urus, the fastest production SUV in the world with 675 BHP and a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo. He does own a G-wagon and many other luxury vehicles, such as an S-class and Range Rover, but Urus is his mostly driven car.
Jasprit Bumrah | Rolls Royce Ghost
According to India.com, he owns a Rolls Royce Ghost, a Mercedes Maybach S560, and a Toyota Corolla. He is a right-arm fast bowler known for his bowling action, which sweeps out the batsman like a wiper. He plays Test, ODI, T20I, IPS, and even ICC World Cup as a prominent player of the Indian cricket team.
Rishabh Pant | Mercedes-AMG GLE 43
How did we find out the name of his car? It’s a bit of a story. While our team was searching for information about his car on the internet, we came across an India Today article about Rishabh Pant’s accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. He was driving his car on the highway when it crashed into the side rail. The car’s fuel tank leaked, and the spilled fuel caught fire, eventually spreading throughout the vehicle. Fortunately, he escaped with injuries to his forehead and leg. The car was destroyed in the accident, but at least we got that he was driving a Mercedes-AMG GLE 43.
