Deepal EVs have been making noise for quite a while, finally we got our hands on the most aerodynamic and futuristic machines you can see at least in Pakistan. We will review the hot hatch the fastback, the Deepal S07 SUV down below.
Deepal – Overview
Master Motors brought the Chinese brand Changan few years back, today it has launched its electric version under the name of Deepal. It is a joint venture of Huawei and CATL. Huawei has developed the EV’s operating system, Harmony OS 4 paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 platform. Whereas, CATL, the world’s leading battery manufacture, has been responsible in developing power packs which have left Audi far behind.
S07 Styling And Exterior
This electric SUV seems hugely inspired by Ferrari, Bentley, Mercedes, and Tesla. Possibly because it has been developed at different parts of the world. At the front it has a Chinese signature ‘Pedal of Power’ combining DRLs and indicators. Below there are headlamps. Where the whole bumper has an overall aerodynamic fascia to reduce drag.
Chunky claddings are given on the sides for a bold look. 20-inches multi-spoke aerodynamic wheels add more bulkiness to the overall design. While other exterior features concealed door handles, rimless windows, and side skirts with titanium.
Moving on to the rear profile, an illuminated Deepal badge is placed at the back, double spoiler and 3-dot taillights add character. Furthermore, the SUV features reverse camera, 4 parking sensors, rear fog diffuser and electronic tailgate.
Interior
The inner space is designed to give luxurious feel with suede and leather and a plenty of space. While doors are designed with wooden claddings. Cockpit features Bentley styling elements with a console with cool box. A 15.5 inch floating screen holds all functions which you can access through gesture control.
Other elements are heads up display, heated/ventilated seats, ambient sound, moonroof, and a 360-degree camera.
Power Pack
This SUV comes with a battery pack of 66.8 kw that can deliver 250 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It gives almost double mileage as compared to that of Audi e-tron.
