Honda CD70, also known as the national bike of Pakistan, is the most commonly used motorcycle in Pakistan and might be the first motorcycle of our people. Known for its superior fuel efficiency, low maintenance cost, and high durability, the CD70 justifies its popularity.
On the other hand, we’ve got United US70, a 1-o-1 counterfeit copy of Honda CD70 and, bought mainly by people who can’t afford the expensive upfront buying cost of the original 70. Here’s a 1-1 comparison of United and Honda 70cc bikes, and we’ll explain which one is a better value-for-money deal.

Resale Value
No match!
CD70 is the simple winner when it comes to resale value. Just like Toyota in cars, put the Atlas Honda emblem on any bike, and it’ll sell on the spot.
Honda has maintained an excellent reputation in the used market, or you can say it’s Honda’s monopoly because no competitor can provide build quality like Honda in the 70cc segment.
Now, in terms of United, it does have a market, but it takes so much time to be sold in a good price.
For example, if you put CD70 on Pakweels, it’ll hardly take 3-4 days until you take a good offer. On the contrary, if you put United 70 ad, it can take about 15-20 days, and still, you might not get any good offer.
Honda maintains its value in the used market, while United or any other Chinese bike loses its value in the used market. Here’s an example:
Quality
The Honda CD70 is far better than the United US70 in terms of parts quality. Whether it’s seat, plastic parts, chrome parts, or paint quality, Honda uses adequate quality parts that last longer and don’t feel too cheap.
In the case of its counterfeit, most of the parts have no proper fitting, low-quality cheap plastics, chrome parts that pick up rust in monsoon season, and paint loses its finish within six months of purchase.
If you ever visit a showroom, look at the speed-o-meter quality of both bikes to get an idea of the quality differences.
Fuel Average
Both have almost the same fuel average; even if there is a difference, it will be unnoticeably small.
To be precise, CD70 does 55 km/l, and United 70 does 50 km/l.
If you do the calculation, there’ll be Rs.10 savings if the daily running is 30 Km.
One is 72cc, and the other is 78cc; that’s the core reason for the fuel average difference.
Performance
Now, here, United turns the game.
United has a better performance figure than CD70. Here’s the table for you:

CD70 uses a 72cc cylinder with a 14/41 chain sprocket, while United US70 uses a 78cc cylinder and 15/38 chain sprocket.
Result?
The counterfeit gives better acceleration and achieves a higher top speed than its original version.
Ride Quality
Upon riding United 70, you’ll be no mistaken that you’re sitting on a vibrating machine. The vibrations will be so intense that just after 20 minutes of riding, you will feel like pinching pins in your lower body. And seats, just don’t talk about that; it’s as hard as a brick.
When it comes to the Honda CD70, it’s not the best, but not as bad as the United 70. Until you take it to 70 Km/h, you’ll not feel any intense vibrations or engine sound. Moreover, seat quality is also up to the mark, very comfortable, soft, and doesn’t hurt your back in short rides.
Spare Parts Availability and Pricing
Here, again, United takes the edge.
Honda’s original spares are expensive, and United, being a counterfeit itself, can easily be used with copy parts, and they are dirt cheap.
You can use genuine Honda parts in the United States, but it’s not worth it, and we don’t recommend doing it either unless you’ve got a lot of money. If we turn it upside down, you can use Chinese-quality Honda parts, but we recommend always using genuine Atlas Honda parts.

My personal advice is to buy a used Honda CD70 if you can’t manage to buy a brand new model, but don’t buy a United US70; it’s just not worth buying. United, I don’t know if their manufacturing quality is very low. Sometimes, you’ll face indicator issues, headlight issues, and many other fitting issues in a brand-new bike.
While Honda CD70 is not the best option, it’s far better than United. Plus, Honda’s resale is up-to-the-mark. Moreover, Honda has proper 3s after-sales service, while United is like a commodity; you’re on your own after purchasing it.
You can buy a 2020-21 model of CD70 in 110K PKR budget, believe me it’ll be a much better option for you than a brand new United 70 that costs 110K PKR.
