So, if you are planning to travel or commute today in Lahore, please be careful, as you may face some traffic issues. Yesterday, the Punjab government announced a public holiday for schools, colleges, and universities due to the visit of the Iranian president, mainly due to security concerns. The high-profile visit is critical for the relationship between both countries. Hence, the city is being shut down to ensure the safety of both leadership and citizens.
As mentioned earlier, the roads will be opened after some time, so keep checking the official handles of Lahore Traffic Police and Transit Authority to stay updated and plan accordingly.
