It’s been months since car sales (MoM) in Pakistan started performing well. Prices are high but seem stable. Overall, the market seems to be on the path to recovery, as evidenced by encouraging sales trends. Following May’24, once again, car sales have witnessed a considerable jump.
According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report, month-on-month (MoM) car sales surged by 21% last month, selling 13,284 vehicles in June’24 compared to 10,949 vehicles in May 2024.
However, year-on-year (YoY) sales reported a massive growth of 120%. This positive trend can be attributed to the stability of the Pakistani Rupee against the US dollar. Car manufacturers were able to sell 13,284 cars in the reported period, compared to only 6,033 vehicles sold during the same period last year.
Two & Three wheelers
Similarly, motorbike and three-wheeler sales decreased by 24% last month, reaching 89,895 units compared to 118,811 units in April 2024. Atlas Honda sales declined by 22% last month, reaching 80,204 units last month against 103,297 units in May 2024.
