Following a crackdown against individual without valid driving license or helmet, passing the driving test on the initial try has become a top concern for motorists.
Good news for those who previously had to endure a 42-day wait after failing their road driving test. According to a tweet from the official government of Punjab and Lahore Traffic Police handle, an amendment to the Punjab Motor Vehicle Rules 1969 has been issued.
The Update
The recent amendment states that candidates who fail the road driving test will now be permitted to retake the test after just 15 days. Previously, the waiting period for the road driving test was 42 days.
On-road test comes a usual thing where you have to showcase your driving skills on the designated course. Whereas e-sign test tests your theoretical knowledge at your convenience within the two-week window. Pass both tests, and your driver’s license is yours!
Overall, this adjustment in the Motor Vehicle Rules represents a positive step towards facilitating the licensing process for aspiring drivers in Punjab. It reflects a commitment to promoting road safety and ensuring that licensed drivers are proficient and responsible.
How To Give Driving Test In Punjab?
Previously, Lahore Traffic Police (LTP) released a video offering tips for passing the driving license test to the public. In the video, a police official shared key insights on what to avoid during the test through simple steps.
The Guide
Before starting the test, ensure:
- Proper seat adjustment
- Fastening of seat belt
- Setting of side view mirrors
The most challenging aspect of the driving test is reversing, and to succeed in this, the official advises keeping the car on the passenger side. The officer explains, “If you reverse the car with it positioned on the driver’s side, it will collide with the cones.”
An advantage is given to candidates who make mistakes during the test. “If you encounter difficulty while reversing, you will be granted one opportunity to drive forward and then reverse again, positioning the car on the left side of the track,” the officer assures.
By adhering to these simple guidelines, passing the driving test in Punjab becomes achievable. Hence, it’s advisable to apply for your driving license, obtain it, and avoid hefty fines and legal consequences.
