No matter what, Toyota has been Pakistanis’ number one priority when it comes to buying an SUV. Be it a Fortuner or a Land Cruiser, people have chosen Toyota for its reliability, build quality, and ease of parts availability. Moreover, the mindset that prevails in our country about JDMs has always led people to choose these off-roaders.
Toyota Fortuner 2020- Purchase Decision
Rana Hamza Saif recently switched from his Honda Civic to the 2020 Toyota Fortuner Sigma. He has been driving an MG for a couple of years and seems quite satisfied with the overall experience, but his childhood enthusiasm for owning an SUV led him to make this buying decision. At the time of purchase, he also considered the Toyota Hilux Revo but couldn’t find a preloved vehicle in good condition.
Driving Experience And Modifications
Hamza has kept the Fortuner in stock condition with little tweaks of blackening out the whole exterior, getting a PPF wrap, and a few carbon fiber body parts.
Besides, he is immensely satisfied with the overall driving experience. Comparing it with the MG, he shared that the infotainment screen of Fortuner seems quite outdated, and the seats are very uncomfortable for a longer route. However, he loves the features of dual-zone climate control and electric seats. Also, he mentioned that its steering turns stiff at higher speeds, which is incredibly helpful while riding on highways.
Price And Fuel Economy
Considering an SUV and four-wheel drive, Fortuner puts out great fuel economy, giving 12 km/L within the city and 14 km/L on longer routes. Additionally, Hamza gets his maintenance done from the Toyota dealership. Lastly, he shared that he bought this Fortuner three months ago for Rs. 15 million.
