The Suzuki Alto is considered the most economical car (hatchback) for cruising on local roads. Low price, impressive fuel economy, and compact size make it ideal for navigating tight spaces and commuting even in densely populated areas with narrow streets. All these things combined make the Alto the first choice for the middle-class man and Suzuki’s bestselling car, too.

Every month, it is a norm to observe Alto surpassing all its mates in terms of sales. However, surprisingly enough, May’s report has reversed the status quo. According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report, Suzuki Swift sales has outperformed all time dominating Alto in sales.

The report informed that Swift sales have increased by 118%, Selling 714 units last month compared to 328 vehicles in April 2024. Moreover, Pak Suzuki sold 6,010 vehicles in May 2024 combined, against 6,000 cars in April 2024.

The company sold 4,062 Alto, 229 Suzuki Cultus, 253 Suzuki Wagon R, 714 Suzuki Swift, 447 Suzuki Bolan, and 305 Suzuki Ravi.

Similarly, motorbike and three-wheeler sales saw an impressive jump of 10% last month, reaching 118,811 units compared to 107,590 units in April 2024. Atlas Honda sales surged by 9%, reaching 103,297 units last month, up from 95,069 units in March 2024.
