The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced the yearly  increase in toll taxes on highways and motorways and the new rates will be applicable from July 1, 2024. According to a notification, the revised toll rates will be applied on national highways, Kohat Tunnel (N-55), Islamabad-Peshawar (M-1), Lahore-Abdul Hakeem (M-3), Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan (M-4), Multan-Sukkur (M-5), and Hakla-Havelian-Mansehra (E-35).

Here are the revised rates on highways:

M-1 (Islamabad-Peshawar)

The revised toll tax for cars are Rs. 350 compared to previous Rs. 240, for Wagon upto 12 seater is Rs. 550 against Rs. 440. The rest of the prices are:

Lahore – Abdul Hakeem (M-3) 

The car toll tax on this motorway is going to be Rs. 500 instead of Rs. 390. Here are the hiked rates of all kinds of vehicles:

Pindi-Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan (M-4) 

The toll tax on M-4 for cars will be Rs. 650 compared to old rate of Rs. 510. Meanwhile, here are the complete rates for other vehicles:

Multan-Sukkur (M-5) 

Now, the car owners have to pay Rs. 900 instead of Rs. 680 from July 1, 2024, while the rest of the hiked rates are:

Hakla-D.I. Khan (M-14) 

The revised toll tax for passenger cars is Rs. 550 instead of previous Rs. 440. The hiked tax for the other vehicles are:

Hassanabdal-Havelian-Mansehra (E-35) 

As per NHA, the revised toll tax for the passenger cars will be Rs. 180, against Rs. 130. The increased tax for other vehicles are mentioned in this chart.

The toll taxe for all highways and above-mentioned motorways is revised every year. Meanwhile, the tax for the most famous Lahore-Islamabad (M-2) motorway has remained unchanged for the time being. However, the rate for the toll tax M-2 usually increases in August, hence, we have to wait for about a month and then we will get an update about the road and its toll tax.
