Dewan Motors, in collaboration with a Chinese brand, has developed Honri Ve, a locally manufactured electric hatchback in Pakistan. Undoubtedly, it is a brave step by the automaker to breathe life into the dying automotive sector of the country and live up to the spirit of electrification.
Honri Ve – Exterior
This is the first locally assembled electric car in Pakistan. It is currently introduced in one variant, which greatly resembles the Suzuki Wagon R in design philosophy. The front fascia features a compact bonnet with low-beam projections, DRLs, and sleek headlights. The front grill extends from the bonnet to the bumper with a pronounced front to make it look aggressive and appealing at the same time.
The side profile gives you a good height with complementing multi-spoke wheels and 15-inch imported tires, adding sportiness. Side mirrors are adjustable and carry LED indicators, too. However, the back profile is quite edgy, with LED lights, indicators, parking sensors, and reflectors. Coming with a top-mounted brake light on the spoiler and a reverse camera, it makes the rear end aesthetic.
Cockpit and Comfort
Honri Ve provides a welcoming interior with a combo of ivory and blue. Featuring high-quality perforated leather for improved ventilation and great cushioning for ease of driving. The sturdy dash is designed in a futuristic style with a 10.25-inch floating infotainment screen and a user-friendly HMI. The D-cut steering is grippy and covered with leather, providing media controls on each side. The cabin is spacious. AC vents are quite like what you get in the Bugatti Chiron. However, the transmission knob gives you Jaguar vibes.
Other features include sunshades, a vanity mirror on the passenger side, airbags, a dome light, a tire pressure monitoring system, regenerative braking, and adjustable mirrors.
Power Figures
Honri Ve comes with an 18.5kWh Ternary Lithium Battery with a company-claimed range of 200km. Charging time is 7 hours from the OEM-provided residential charger. It can deliver 40bhp of power and 64Nm of torque, and the maximum attainable speed is 100km/hr.
Dewan Motors has shared that the local assembly of Honri Ve will hopefully start by August 2024, which will allow for the delivery. We wish Dewan luck with their introductory EV.
