The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift was teased in the Tokyo Mobility Show last year vouching to replace the current variant. Here, on 9th May, India will see a formal launch of this fourth-generation Swift offering five variants and nine new colours. Ahead of the official launch, engine details and other specifications have been leaked on media so here is what to expect from this new Swift hatchback.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dimensions

The new Suzuki Swift will be offered in five variants of LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+. However, this hatchback will be 15mm longer than the current variant with a length of 3860mm and a width of 1735mm. However, it will be 35mm shorter i.e., 1495mm in height than the present variant. Wheelbase will be the same 2450mm and gross weight will be 1365-1389kg. The fuel capacity also remains constant at 37 litres.

New Suzuki Swift Engine Comparison

According to reports, the new Z series engine will be more fuel-efficient than the current K series engine and will likely give a fuel economy of 25.72 km/l.

New Swift Features

This hatchback will be equipped with LED foglamps, a 9-inch infotainment system, a Type C charging port, a wireless charger, Arkamys sound system, and a SmartPlay Pro. As far as safety is concerned, this all-new Swift hints towards a 5-star NCAP rating and will offer six airbags as standard. It will make this new Swift, the safest hatchback from its makers.

Maruti Suzuki hasn’t yet revealed the official price of this hatchback, however interested customers can book it at a nominal price of 11,000 INR choosing from nine different colors including the two new shades of Luster Blue and Novel Orange.
