Surely you remember the Rinco Aria, right? It’s the same car that was released by Nayyar Motors of Karachi in 2022 at a price of Rs. 2.4 million. Back then, the car gained a lot of attention because people were impressed with it being an electric car at an affordable price. Now there’s a big update about this compact hatchback.

Moving from Rinco Aria to Volt 

The Rinco Aria is now known as Volt, and it’s been brought under the banner of Regal Automobiles of Pakistan. According to a company official, the deal was finalized around a month ago. “Approximately 50 units of this small EV have been imported, and Regal is currently selling them as CBU units,” reliable sources informed us. Additionally, one of the company officials mentioned that local assembly of the car may commence in May/June 2024. The price of the locally assembled car has yet to be determined.

The car is equipped with a permanent magnetic synchronous motor and a 16.5kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. It delivers a maximum power of 34KW and 102 Nm of torque with a range of approximately 200 kilometers per charge. The car has a top speed of 100 kilometers/hour and takes 6 hours to charge. 

The Volt comes with automatic transmission.
