Last November, Oppo presented its Reno11 series smartphones, so we can anticipate that their successors will arrive before the second half of 2024. There has been no official announcement from Oppo regarding the Reno12 lineup, but a tipster known as Smart Pikachu (name translated from Chinese) on Weibo hinted at improvements to the camera.
The tipster mentioned that the Oppo Reno12 series will include a newly customized Sony sensor, which will enhance the mid-range image quality of the lineup. The Reno11 series consists of three smartphones – Reno11, Reno11 Pro, and Reno11 F. The standard and Pro models have 50MP primary cameras, while the F version features a 64MP unit. It is yet to be determined how many phones the Reno12 lineup will include and what the resolution of their main cameras will be.
It is also important to note that the Chinese versions of the Reno11 and Reno11 Pro are powered by the Dimensity 8200 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chips, respectively, while the global standard and Pro models have the Dimensity 7050 and Dimensity 8200 as their processors. The Reno11 F also runs on the Dimensity 7050 SoC.
