Samsung is gearing up to introduce its latest software, OneUI 6.1, to its flagship devices from 2022 and 2021 in the near future. As per a post by a moderator on the Samsung Community website, an update is expected in May that will bring One UI 6.1 with advanced AI features to the Galaxy S22 lineup.
The lineup of Galaxy S22, Z Fold4, Flip4 foldables, and Tab S8 tablets will all receive the One UI 6.1 update with features comparable to the AI capabilities of the Galaxy S23 FE model. On the other hand, the Galaxy S21 phones and 2021 foldables will also get the One UI 6.1 update in May, but with limited AI functionality.
An early May update will be rolled out to Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra, bringing features like Generative Edit, Live Translate, Summary, and Circle to Search, among others.
Subsequently, in the same month, Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, Z Flip3, and Z Fold3 will receive the update with only Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite features.
With these updates, Samsung is expected to reach over 200 million Galaxy AI users, doubling the user base from the end of March when they had crossed the 100 million milestone.
