Samsung has released an infographic outlining the advancements made with the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s new Quad Tele camera system and the ProVisual Engine that powers it.

Beginning with the enhanced Nightography on the telephoto end, the new 5x zoom camera on the S24 Ultra features a sensor twice the size and pixels that are 60% larger at 1.4μm compared to the old 10x imager. It also offers a wider stabilization angle for improved OIS. Additionally, the new 5x camera incorporates an AI-enabled image signal processor (ISP) with a 42% faster neural processing unit (NPU) and a 30% quicker zoom shutter speed.

Another new feature is Generative Edit, which utilizes the AI capabilities of the Galaxy S24 Ultra for tasks like straightening, resizing, in-painting, and out-painting.

The Expert RAW mode now offers a 24MP option, combining high-resolution 50MP images with multi-frame 12MP images. The AI Fusion 24MP shots come with HDR and can be saved in JPEG, RAW, or both formats.

Lastly, Samsung introduces Enhance-X, an AI-powered photo editor, featuring the new Camera Shift tool. This function allows users to modify the angle and perspective of a photo post-capture using AI technology to create various effects.
