At last, Samsung has officially revealed the update that will address the lackluster displays on the Galaxy S24 series. This firmware will be rolled out to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra later this month and will include a “Vividness” slider in the Advanced settings of the Display.

The current software already has this menu, but it lacks the specific slider. Samsung explains that it originally opted for a more natural default screen setting, but due to user feedback, it will now allow users to adjust the Super AMOLED punchiness to their preference.

Additionally, Samsung has mentioned that there will be further optimizations for the camera functions. The details are intentionally vague, but Samsung promises upgrades to the “device’s zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, rear camera video shooting capabilities, and more”.

We have not yet received the firmware, but we will continue to monitor for its release. In the meantime, check out our comprehensive review of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
