Samsung gave a glimpse of the Galaxy Ring earlier in the year at the Unpacked event where the Galaxy S24 series was unveiled. It was then partially announced at MWC in Barcelona in February, with a full introduction expected in July at the next Unpacked event, alongside the debut of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
Recently, details about the Galaxy Ring emerged including its integration with Samsung Food. Now, the device has been spotted in Samsung’s stock Battery Widget, as shown in the screenshot below.
By adding this widget to your Samsung smartphone’s home screen and accessing the Settings menu, you can see the displayed options. The Galaxy Ring, alongside other Samsung devices like the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Fit, and Galaxy Buds, is prominently featured, indicating Samsung’s preparation for its launch.
While the exact release date remains uncertain, speculation suggests that the Galaxy Ring could be officially unveiled at the upcoming July Unpacked event, if not sooner.
The Galaxy Ring is reported to be lightweight (although physical interaction with the device is limited to Samsung at present) and will be available in various sizes and color options. Equipped with a heart rate sensor and sleep tracking capabilities, it is expected to offer long-lasting battery life due to the absence of a power-hungry screen. The device is rumored to support NFC payments and may provide a more comfortable alternative to wearables like smartwatches, particularly during sleep.
