Samsung is working on integrating generative AI technology into its virtual assistant Bixby. While there is no official timeline, a top executive confirmed that the company is putting in considerable effort to make it happen.

Introduced with the Galaxy S8 series seven years ago, Bixby has brought innovative features such as live translations and restaurant recommendations to Galaxy smartphones. However, unlike Open AI’s ChatGPT or Google Gemini, Bixby’s current functionality is limited to basic question-and-answer interactions without the ability to generate new text and images.
